By default, the patients Balance Due shows in the patient header. You can customize which billing types are included in the calculation, either private, insured or both. This makes it easier to see if a patient has outstanding bills.
⚠️ Important: If you are using a custom billing template for private billing instead of the private billing functionality, it does not show for Only Private.
Steps
From the main menu, click Settings > Billing.
Under the Default Billing Settings section, select Only Private, Only Public or Both in the Outstanding Balance Calculation list.
Scroll down and click Save Private Billing Settings.
