About School Accounts

A school account lets your school manage and pay for all the Inquisitive memberships centrally. You can add and manage teachers and admins, update payment details and plan for renewal.

How do I add teachers to my school account?

Assign Memberships – Click ‘Assign Memberships’ and provide the email addresses of the teachers you would like to add. They'll receive an email inviting them to join the school account.

Note: This button will show if you have available paid memberships.

Buy Memberships – Purchase new memberships for your school account by clicking ‘Buy Memberships’.

Note: The cost of additional memberships is prorated (i.e. adjusted to reflect the remaining period of your subscription).

How do I add admins to the school account?

Invite an admin - Click the Add Admin button to invite other teachers/staff to help manage your school trial account. They'll receive an email inviting them to join the school account.

Add/Remove admin rights – Use the slider to add or remove admin rights for teachers in your account. We recommend each school has at least 3 admins.

Note: Admin access is free! – admins without a Teacher Membership won't be charged a membership fee.

Our school has teachers with their own individual memberships, Can I add them to the school account?

Yes, teachers with individual accounts can be added to a school account.

At the very bottom of the People tab, you'll see the teachers associated with your school, with their own individual account.

You can invite them into the school account by selecting ‘Add to School Account’.

They will be sent an email to ‘accept’ before being added to the school account.

Note: You will need to have spare memberships available in your account or will need to purchase a membership to be able to bring them into the account.

How do I remove teachers from my school account?

To remove an existing teacher from the school account, click on the Trash icon on the far right side of their name.

This gives your school account a membership back, that can now be reassigned to a new teacher.

Manage Billing

On the Billing page, account admins can:

  • Access invoices in Billing History

  • Update payment methods in Payment Details

  • Manage auto-renew settings.

Note: Changing or adding your credit card details in the billing section does not automatically pay an outstanding invoice. To pay an outstanding invoice, click the link in the email you received with your invoice.
