2. What's the main difference between Insta360 X5 and Insta360 X4?

The X5 is a significant leap forward from the X4—designed with direct input from our community and packed with upgrades that matter in the real world. In short, the X5 sets a new benchmark for what 360 degree cameras can achieve.

First up: image quality. With a larger 1/1.28" sensor and our new Triple AI Chip system, the X5 excels in low-light performance and delivers ultra-sharp 8K 360° video. It tackles one of the biggest asks from X4 users—better clarity, especially in challenging lighting.

Then there’s the all-new rugged, replaceable lens design—an industry first. Coated with an ultra-hard optical film, the lenses offer significantly improved scratch resistance and a 100% boost in drop protection. Even better, they’re now fully user-swappable on the X5—easy-peasy. No more stress over accidental cracks or long repair waits. Just swap out damaged parts on the go.

We’ve also boosted workflow with AI-powered editing tools, longer battery life, faster charging, improved audio capture, and a re-engineered cooling system to tackle overheating. How has Insta360 X5's low-light performance improved compared to X4 and X3?

For the first time ever, a 360° camera is paired with three AI chips for a 140% increase in overall computing power for powerful image processing, faster image speed, and improved quality. Combined with larger 1/1.28" sensors, X5 captures more light to enhance details at night. X5 also features PureVideo Mode, a specialized low-light shooting mode that delivers advanced AI noise reduction, enhanced brightness, highlight suppression, and optimized dynamic range for clear, vivid footage, no matter the lighting.

3. How big are Insta360 X5's sensors?

X5 is equipped with dual 1/1.28" sensors, which are 144% larger than X4, resulting in richer details, superb clarity, and more vivid colors. With a 2.44μm equivalent pixel size and 13.5 stops of dynamic range, X5 delivers quality akin to that of professional cameras.

4.What are the advantages of InstaFrame Mode?

InstaFrame is an incredible new mode that records both a flat video and a 360º video at the same time. Before recording, select either "Selfie View" or "Fixed View" and choose your desired angle. After recording, you'll get an instantly shareable flat video file with no editing needed, saving time and effort. You'll also get a full 360º video file that you can go back and edit later, ensuring you never miss any exciting moments.

5. What are the best shooting settings for low light?

For dim indoor scenes or nighttime environments, we recommend using 8K30fps PureVideo Mode. For standard indoor scenes, we recommend using 5.7K30fps PureVideo Mode with Active HDR turned on.

6. Is Insta360 X5 compatible with Insta360 X4's accessories?

X5 has the same 1/4" mounting point as X4, so it's compatible with the same 1/4" accessories. However, due to changes in size and optical performance, it is not compatible with X4-specific accessories such as the Carry Case, Invisible Dive Case, Utility Frame, Fast Charge Hub, and more.

8. What power adapter do I need to charge Insta360 X5?

It's recommended to use a 9V/3A adapter with PD support, though a 5V/3A adapter will also work.

9.What size of memory card is recommended?

For shooting in 8K or for prolonged continuous recording, we recommend a memory card with a capacity of at least 256GB.

10. What memory cards are compatible with X5?

To consistently achieve the best results with your X5, use UHS-I microSD cards with a V30 or above speed class and exFAT format. Using incompatible microSD cards may cause issues while recording, and footage may be damaged or not usable.

Notice: Do not use UHS-II/UHS-III microSD/TF cards, or memory cards larger than 1TB. These cards are not compatible and may cause issues while recording.

11. How can I achieve the best stitching effect with the lens guards installed?

You don't have to do anything! X5 automatically detects when the lens guards are installed or removed and adjusts the stitching parameters for the best effect. In the edit, the Insta360 app and Studio will automatically apply the best stitching parameters based on whether the camera uses Standard Lens Guards, Premium Lens Guards, or no lens guards.

Since X5 is a brand-new product, we are not offering any discounts at this time. X5 is a great value at its current price.

2. I placed an incorrect order and would like to reorder. Could you please assist me in canceling the incorrect order?

If your items have not yet been shipped, please first submit a refund request on the My Orders page to prevent the order from being shipped out. Due to a high volume of inquiries, there may be a delay in processing your refund request. 3. How long will it take to receive my order?

Please pay attention to the estimated dispatch date on the Shopping Cart and Checkout pages. Once an order has been shipped, you will receive a notification email that includes the tracking details. If there are no logistic delays, packages are generally delivered within 3-5 business days after dispatch.
