Check Your Status Through the Member Portal
The fastest way to check your nonprofit formation status is by logging into the Instant Nonprofit Member Portal using the email address you signed up with. Follow these steps:
Log in to the portal.
Look at the left side of the screen, where you’ll see a section labeled “Start Here” with a rocket ship icon.
Expand the menu by clicking the arrow.
Check the highlighted step—this indicates your current progress.

Check Your Status via Email Updates
Every step of the way, Instant Nonprofit sends email notifications to keep you updated. These emails include:
Confirmation of profile completion
Notification that your Articles of Incorporation have been submitted
Approval updates from the state
EIN acquisition confirmation
501(c)(3) submission and approval updates
