Welcome to LearnShareME! Follow these steps to seamlessly upload lesson videos and create engaging courses for your learners. This guide will walk you through uploading your lesson videos, creating a course, attaching videos and supplemental materials, and submitting your course for approval.
Begin by logging into your account. Click on the avatar icon in the top right corner, then select 'View Dashboard' from the dropdown menu to access the course page. Once the page loads, click on 'Instructor Dashboard.'
Within the ‘My Lessons’ section, you'll be using this section to upload your lesson videos. In the 'Create Course' section, you can initiate the process of creating a new course. For 'Pending Courses,' you'll find those awaiting review by the LearnShareME team. Within the 'My Courses' section, you'll find all the courses you've uploaded and that have passed review.
Step 1: Uploading Lesson Videos
Access ‘My Lessons’:
Navigate to the ‘My Lessons’ section on your dashboard.
Click on the 'Create lesson' button to begin uploading a new lesson video.
Enter Lesson Details:
Fill out the title and description of your lesson video.
Click 'Save' on the lower right corner to save the information.
Upload the Video:
Drag and drop the video file into the designated upload box.
Your video will appear in the ‘unassigned lesson’ section on your dashboard.
Check Upload Status:
Click on the title of your lesson video under ‘unassigned lesson’ to view details.
If the thumbnail is blank, the upload is still processing. Wait a few minutes and check again.
Once the thumbnail is displayed, click the “Sync video data” button to generate the thumbnail for the lesson video.
Repeat for Multiple Videos:
Repeat the above steps if you have more videos to upload for your course.
Step 2: Creating a Course
Start Course Creation:
After uploading your lesson videos, click on 'Create Course'.
Provide Course Details:
Fill in the course title and description.
Outline what learners will learn with 4-8 bullet points.
Specify the intended audience and any prerequisites.
Select the category and subcategories that best describe your course content. For individual accounts, select 'individual' as the main category and proceed with detailed subcategory selections.
Step 3: Attaching Lesson Videos and Supplemental Materials
Add Lesson Videos:
Click on 'Lesson' on the left side column.
Click 'Add video lesson' and select the videos you uploaded.
Click 'Add lesson' on the lower left.
Search for Previous Videos:
If needed, search for previously uploaded videos by entering keywords in the ‘Title’ section and clicking 'Apply'.
Add Supplemental Materials:
Click ‘Add Media’ to upload any supplemental PDF files.
Repeat the process for multiple files.
Click 'Insert selected' to finalize the upload. Note that these files will be public and downloadable to paid learners.
Set Course Pricing:
Set a price for your course.
Optionally, set a discount price if desired.
Step 4: Submitting the Course
Prepare for Submission:
Click on 'Submit Session' in the left column.
Review and confirm the message list at the top of the session.
Leave Comments for Reviewers:
Use the comment box for any notes or questions for the reviewer.
Finalize Submission:
Change the course status from 'draft' to 'ready for review'.
Click 'Save' on the lower right to complete the submission process.
Step 5: Finalizing Submission
Pending Review:
After submitting, your course will appear in the ‘pending course’ section while awaiting review and approval from LearnShareME auditors.
Approval and Publication:
Once approved, your course will be visible under ‘My Courses’.
