Operating the Gantt

Learn how to operate the Gantt, use shortcuts, and blow up your project to get maximum insight.

The Omnibar

The Omnibar is the central hub for all your actions. Whenever you hit the checkbox on an object the Omnibar will appear near the bottom of your Gantt view.


Expanding Nested Objects

You have two options to expand nested objects.

Option 1, hover the icon

Or Option 2, you can right click the project bar, and select Expand.


Unread Indicator Dots

When changes are made to an object, a blue dot will appear next to the affected object to flag changes. Changes include any modifications made to the object's date (start and/or target date), attribute changes, and dependencies.


Multi-Selecting Objects

Learn how to multi-select tasks on the Gantt chart with Shift-click to apply bulk changes across multiple (including nested) items.

From here you will be able to effect changes to all the selected Drivers such as update Task Status, Shift Dates, and Nest.


Shift Dates

Learn how to shift dates for multiple objects at once.

Make sure you only select objects that require the same shift in duration. The Shift Dates feature will apply the same time adjustment to all selected objects. To avoid unintended changes, select only the items that need to be shifted by the same number of days.


Mass Updates to Drivers

Learn how to change the status of multiple drivers at once.

You can also update driver status by right clicking selected drivers:

Note that the circular icon next to the driver will denote the status.


Search

Struggling to find a specific project or driver? Use the search feature.

Start by hitting "S" on your keyboard (shortcut list is available in the bottom left of the schedule view).

From here type in the title of whatever object you are looking for.


Filtering

Ever feel like you're schedule is looking too busy? Don't worry you can filter down to what you need.

Start by scrolling to near the top right.

From the list, select which filter you want to apply. For example:

Definitions:

Match on all/any = This will apply the filter to all projects.

Clear = remove the filter.

Save View = This will save the filter (filters will be listed on the left navigation bar under views)

For quick access in the future, you can save your applied filter. Simply click the "Save Filter" button to do so.

Tip: You can also filter by collaborator in the "All Drivers" and "Builds" tabs.


Adjusting Timeline View

Need to see more or less time? Scroll to near the top right.

Year is the furthest zoom. week is the closest. Select whichever one suits your schedule!


Reveal in Gantt

From the object card, go to

This will highlight the object in blue briefly and center your screen on it.


Create Mode

Create mode allows you to click anywhere on the Gantt and start creating.

To activate it, go to

Tip: you can also activate it by hitting the 'cmd' or 'ctrl' key.
