How Rise.ai Data Is Structured in Shopify
This article explains how Rise.ai maps Gift Card and Store Credit data within Shopify. Understanding this structure helps you identify how customer information, notes, tags, and IDs are stored and updated.
This is especially useful if you are using external management systems, reporting tools, ERP, or BI platforms and need to rely on consistent Shopify data fields.
Customer Wallets Note within Shopify
Any customer wallet within Rise.ai is based on an actual gift card within Shopify.
When opening the related gift card in your Shopify admin (Products → Gift cards), the following note will appear:
Rise.ai Store Credit
Customer Email: {{EMAIL}}
The Customer Email line appears only when the wallet has a primary email.
Gift Card Data Mapping in Shopify
When a Gift Card is purchased, Rise adds a tag and, if order notes are enabled, a note to the Shopify order. Rise also adds a note to the Gift Card itself.
Order tag: Rise.ai
When a Gift Card is purchased without a recipient:
Order Note
The relevant Shopify order will include the following note:
Gift Card created (Rise ID: …)
This confirms that a Gift Card was generated from the order and includes the Rise ID for tracking purposes.
For example:

Inside the Gift Card object itself in Shopify, the following note will appear:

This identifies the Gift Card as a Rise-generated asset.
For example:
