We offer rotations that expose interns to various aspects of anesthesia care and perioperative services in international clinical settings. Specific rotations may vary by location.


What does the CRNA Internship program include?

Here are the inclusions on the CRNA Internship Program:

  • 24/7 In‑Country & U.S.-Based Support

  • Pre‑Departure Assistance (travel, visas, immunizations, etc.)

  • CRNA‑Focused Orientation covering local healthcare systems, safety protocols, and cultural norms

  • Hospital/Clinic Placement with structured rotations and mentorship by licensed CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers

  • Global Health Lecture Series led by local and international experts

  • Community Clinical and Outreach initiatives

  • Weekly Cultural Activities (such as treks, language lessons, or local excursions)

  • Safe, Shared Housing with amenities such as Wi‑Fi, chef-prepared meals, and weekly laundry service

  • A typical day involves hospital rotations (for example, from 8 AM to 4 PM) followed by weekly educational and cultural activities.


How large are the intern cohorts?

IMA admits cohorts ranging from approximately 35 to 70 interns in any given cycle, ensuring ample opportunities to learn and network with peers from diverse backgrounds.


Where will I stay during the CRNA Internships?

You’ll reside in one of our comfortable Program Residences located in safe neighborhoods within our host countries. Accommodations are shared and include amenities such as Wi-Fi, meals prepared by an in-house chef, laundry facilities, and 24/7 security, fostering a supportive, community-centered environment.


What is a typical day like in the CRNA Internship program?

Interns in the CRNA Internship program typically spend 6–8 hours in the hospital during clinical rotations (for example, from 8 AM to 4 PM) and have afternoon downtime for activities, including our Global Health Lecture Series and Community and Clinical Outreach Activites, along with local excursions. There is an option to work one night shift per week, and weekends offer flexibility for additional clinical work or leisure. Your schedule is developed with close collaboration with your Program Mentor.
