Warehouse settings

View your current warehouse configuration in Account > Settings > Connections & Warehouses.

This page will display all your connections, each with their own enabled warehouse. Every enabled warehouse displays details for sales and other reporting, forecasting, and replenishment recommendations.

If you do not need to see reporting or replenishment recommendations for a particular warehouse, disable it from the Warehouse Settings page.

Note: Disable warehouses to lower your monthly bill. There is no additional charge for combined warehouses. See our Pricing Guide for details on billing with multiple locations.

You can further configure a warehouse by clicking the “Settings” cog. Use the warehouse settings page for a particular warehouse to disable alerts, and to enter the billing and shipping address to be used on purchase orders.

The settings available to configure are:

General

  • Name: The name of the warehouse, as displayed around Inventory Planner.

  • Enabled: Toggle on to enable the warehouse, allowing you to see reporting and replenishment data for the individual warehouse.

  • Currency: The currency used in the warehouse.

  • Ignore stockouts: Enable this setting to adjust the forecast for all variants in the warehouse to exclude all previous stockouts.

  • Enable low stock alerts: Enable this setting to receive alerts when products in the warehouse hit the low stock thresholds. Learn more about low stock alerts here.

Stock orders

  • Billing address: The address used as the billing address when stock orders are assigned this warehouse.

  • Shipping address: The address used as the shipping address when stock orders are assigned this warehouse.

  • Max stock in units: Set the maximum number of units that can be held in this location. If a stock order would exceed it, an error will be displayed

  • Default warehouse priority: Assign a number to this location that will be used when creating multiple transfers. The higher the number, the higher the priority.

  • Production of assemblies is possible: Enable this option to tell Inventory Planner that assemblies can be made in this location, allowing it to allocate component stock here.

History

In the warehouse settings, there’s an option to view “History” of the warehouse. This page shows you all the changes to the warehouse settings that have taken place.

Viewing warehouse information

Warehouse dropdown: Use the dropdown at the top of Replenishment and reports to choose the location you want to view.

Managing variant data by warehouse

Select Catalog > Warehouses.

Catalog > Warehouses is designed to configure warehouse-related information for variants and bundles such as replenishment planning settings (e.g. lead times, days of stock), Min/Max Stock, and Alerts.
