How are market values determined?

Each night, we retrieve data from Liv-Ex, Wine Searcher and Wine Market Journal to populate the market data field. That said, despite these services, some wines remain without values.

The reason behind this is primarily because the above data sources do not yet have established market values to pass on. As market values are essential for calculating your cellar or fridge worth, if a market value is not able to be retried, the purchase price you paid for the wine will act as a temporary place holder. If you haven’t been entering your purchase price, the field will remain empty until we can acquire the data. We do, however, allow you to edit the market field and input a value that will help provide an accurate representation of the wine’s worth. For any wine that you have done this for, the font color will appear gold.
