How to create a review
Updated over a month ago

Once you've consumed a bottle and confirmed removal details, you will be prompted to "Create a Review". There will also be an option to "Remind me Later" if you'd like to do so later.

Step 1: Set the privacy & visibility of your review

On the Create Review page, there will be a blue tag that either says "Only me" or "Public". Tap this to toggle between the two.

This sets the privacy settings for your review. "Only me" means that only you will be able to see it once its published. "Public" means it will be visible to the entire InVintory community.

If you're set to "Public" there will be another tag right beside it titled "Comments On" or "Comments Off". Similarly, tap to toggle between these two options. "Comments on" allows other InVintory users to comment on your review.

Step 2: Fill in the text field

Tap on the text field "Say something about the..." to start typing your review.

You can always go back and edit this later if you'd just like to jot down a few notes quickly.

Step 3: Rate the wine

Next, fill in your rating for the wine. Choose from:

  • Thumbs down: You disliked it

  • Thumbs up: You liked it

  • Heart: You loved it

This is a great field to fill out because you can go back and filter on your Activity later based on this.

Step 4: Fill in any additional fields

These include:

  • Photos: Choose from your galley or take a new picture and attach it to your review. This is a great spot to capture cherished memories with friends.

  • Location: Search and select the location you consumed your wine. Ideal when your at a restaurant or winery.

  • Sensory notes: This will pull up a host of tasting note options to tag your wine with. Everything from fruit characters, to mineral characters. Tap to browse or search at the top.

  • Structure notes: Rate the sweetness, tannin, acidity and body of the wine.

  • Re-purchase: Select if you would or would not buy again in the future.

  • Privacy settings: Another spot to select the privacy of your review.

None of these are mandatory and you can choose to document as little or as much detail as you like.

Step 5: Post it

A checkmark notification will appear on the screen confirming it went live.

Go to the reviews tab on the menu bar and see it live. Toggle from "My Reviews" to "Feed" where you'll see the community of other reviewers. Note that even if your review is private, it will always appear on your (and only your) Feed.
