Managing Payments in Invoice Fly

Easily manage payments with Invoice Fly. This guide covers Stripe/PayPal setup, payout timelines, and resolving common payment issues.

💳 Enabling Online Payments (Stripe and PayPal)

  1. Open the Invoice Fly app

  2. Tap the Settings (gear icon top left corner)

  3. Select Payment Options

  4. Choose to connect either Stripe or PayPal

Connecting Stripe

  • Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your Stripe account

  • Stripe may request business and bank account verification

  • Once connected, it will handle credit card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other methods

Connecting PayPal

  • Enter your PayPal email address to link your account

  • PayPal will handle all payments and transfer funds to your PayPal account

🔐 Enabling Payment on Invoices

To accept payments on a specific invoice:

  1. Open the invoice you want to edit

  2. Tap Edit Invoice

  3. Scroll down to the Online Payment Method section

  4. Toggle on Stripe or PayPal

  5. Tap Save

⏰ Stripe Payout Timeline

✅ Initial Payout (First Payment)

  • The first payout takes 7-10 days to arrive in your bank account

  • This is part of Stripe’s fraud prevention and regulatory checks

📅 Make sure your Stripe account has accurate business and bank information to avoid delays.

📆 Subsequent Payouts

  • United States & Australia: Up to 2 business days

  • Canada, UK, Ireland: Up to 7 business days

  • Once funds are available, log into your Stripe Dashboard

  • Click Payout Funds (top right) to transfer money to your bank account

🌍 Check Payment Status

  • All payout activity is available in your dashboard

  • You can see failed payouts, pending balances, and expected availability dates

💶 Stripe Transaction Fees

  • Stripe charges a fee per successful transaction, plus a percentage of the total

✅ First Payment

  • Usually takes 2–5 business days to reach your linked bank account

  • Make sure your account is fully verified (especially your bank info)

  • Why haven't I received my payment yet?

    • If it’s your first payment, expect delays of 7–10 days on Stripe or 2–5 days on PayPal

    • Check your payout schedule and account verification status

    • Check if you’ve set the automatic payouts.

    • Please be aware that it is different to have money in your Stripe balance, than in your bank account.

    • No, Invoice Fly only charges your app subscription
