Important:

This integration requires 3 steps, therefore it will NOT work with the free Zapier plan (which is limited to Two-step Zaps).

Before you begin, make sure there is at least one call in your INVOX account.

You can also make a test call before starting the setup. If no calls exist, Zapier will not be able to retrieve the necessary data fields.

Step 1 – Create a New Zap

1. Log in to Zapier

Go to https://zapier.com and sign in to your account.

2. Create a new Zap

Click “Create” (top left) → Select “Zaps”.

This opens the Zap editor.

Step 2 – Configure the Trigger (INVOX)

1. Choose the Trigger App

Search for: INVOX

Select trigger event: New call

2. Connect your INVOX account

  • Click “Change”

  • Click “+ Connect a new account”

  • A pop-up window will open where you will need to add the Zapier Token from your INVOX account

  • Click “Yes, Continue to Invox”

  • Click Continue

3. Test the Trigger

  • Go to the “Test” tab

  • Click “Find new records”

  • Select one of the returned calls

  • Click “Continue with selected record”

If no calls exist in the INVOX account, nothing will be displayed here.

It is recommended to have at least one call available so Zapier can extract the necessary data fields.

This completes the Trigger configuration.

Step 3 – Formatter (Convert Date to Unix Timestamp)

Click “+ Add step”

Search for: Formatter

Setup tab

  • Action event: Date / Time

  • Click Continue

Configure tab

  • Transform: Format

  • Input: Date (from INVOX trigger)

  • To Format: X (1137971045.0)

  • To Timezone: GMT

  • From Timezone: UTC

  • Click Continue

Test tab

  • Click “Test step”

You should see something similar to:

Click Continue

This value will be used later as the Event Time in Facebook.

Step 4 – Formatter (Format Phone Number)

Click “+ Add step”

Search for: Formatter

Setup tab

  • Action event: Numbers

  • Click Continue

Configure tab

  • Transform: Format Phone Number

  • Input: Caller (from INVOX trigger)

  • To Format: 15558001212 (No Symbols, International)

  • Phone Number Country Code: Romania

  • Validate Phone Number?: YES

  • Click Continue

Test tab

  • Click “Test step”

You should see something similar to:

Click Continue

This formatted number will be used for Facebook event matching.

Step 5 – Facebook Conversions Action

Click “+ Add step”

Search for: Facebook Conversions

Setup tab

  • Action event: Send Other Event

  • Click Continue

  • Click “Change”

  • Click “+ Connect a new account”

  • Log in with the Facebook account that has access to Facebook Ads for this business account

  • Click Continue

Configure tab

Fill in the fields as follows:

  • Action Source: Phone Call

  • Business Account: Select your Facebook Business Account

  • Pixel: Select the Facebook Pixel where you will send the call

  • Event Name: Lead

  • Event Time: Use the Output value from Step 3 (example: 1770819201)

  • Phone Number: Use the Output value from Step 4 (example: 40700000000)

  • Click ID (fbc): Click the “+” button, then type fbclid in the search bar. Click on the displayed result.

  • The result should look like this:

  • Click Continue

Test tab

Click “Test step”

You should see a response similar to:

If the test is successful, click Publish.

Final Result

From now on, every new call recorded in INVOX will automatically send a Lead event to your selected Facebook Pixel using the Conversions API via Zapier.

If you encounter issues during setup, verify:

  • You are using a paid Zapier plan

  • There is at least one call in the INVOX account

  • The correct Facebook Business Account and Pixel are selected

  • The formatted timestamp and phone number fields are correctly mapped

Your integration is now complete.
