Written by Iulian de la INVOX

Connect INVOX with thousands of apps through Zapier and automatically send call and attribution data to your CRM, advertising platforms, e-commerce tools, AI applications, and other systems.

How the INVOX – Zapier integration works

The INVOX integration with Zapier allows you to automatically send data about new phone calls tracked by INVOX to other applications available on Zapier.

When a new call is generated in INVOX, the New Call trigger becomes available in Zapier.

You can use this trigger to start a Zap and send the call data collected by INVOX to other applications, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Shopify, Facebook Conversions, Google Ads, Anthropic (Claude), and many others.

A typical workflow looks like this:

New call in INVOX → New Call trigger in Zapier → Send call and attribution data to another application

For example, you can use the integration to:

  • Create or update leads and contacts in your CRM.

  • Send phone call conversions to advertising platforms.

  • Match callers with customers or orders in an e-commerce platform.

  • Send call summaries and other call data to AI applications for further analysis.

  • Build custom workflows using the call's marketing attribution data.

  • Trigger follow-up actions based on the call status, source, campaign, keyword, sentiment, or other available information.

New Call trigger

The New Call trigger is activated when a new call is generated in INVOX.

INVOX sends the call information collected by the platform to Zapier, where each field can be mapped to fields or actions in the destination application.

The following data can be made available through the New Call trigger:

Call information

  • call_id - The unique ID of the call in the INVOX database.

  • date - Call date and time in the following format: Y-m-d H:i:s.

  • duration - Call duration.

  • status - Call status. Possible values include: Answered, No answer, User busy, Call Rejected, Voice Mail, Calling, and Unallocated (unassigned) number.

  • caller - The caller's phone number.

  • receivingnumber - The phone number that was called — the INVOX tracking number.

  • destinationnumber - The endpoint phone number that receives calls forwarded from the INVOX tracking number.

  • day - Day of the call.

  • hour - Hour of the call.

  • account - The account name in the INVOX platform.

Marketing attribution

  • source - The marketing channel attributed to the call in INVOX, such as paid search, organic search, social, newsletter, outdoor, print, or other configured sources.

  • keyword - The PPC keyword searched by the visitor before reaching the website.

  • referrer - The webpage that referred the visitor to the website.

  • page - The last page viewed by the caller before making the call.

  • utm_source - The utm_source value associated with the visitor.

  • medium - The utm_medium value associated with the visitor.

  • campaign - The utm_campaign value associated with the visitor.

  • utm_content The utm_content value associated with the visitor.

  • utm_term The utm_term value associated with the visitor.

Advertising data

The following Google Ads ValueTrack parameters can also be sent when available:

  • campaignid Google Ads campaign ID.

  • adgroupid Google Ads ad group ID.

  • network The Google Ads network from which the visitor originated.

  • matchtype The keyword match type.

  • creative The ID of the Google Ads creative.

  • adposition The position of the ad.

  • device The device used by the visitor to access the website, such as computer, mobile, or tablet.

Click and analytics identifiers

  • gclid Google Click ID associated with the visitor.

  • fbclid Facebook Click ID associated with the visitor.

  • ttclid TikTok Click ID associated with the visitor.

  • gacid Google Analytics Client ID associated with the visitor.

These identifiers can be particularly useful when building workflows that connect phone calls with advertising, analytics, CRM, or conversion data.

Call recording and AI-generated insights

When the corresponding INVOX features are enabled, the following information may also be available:

  • recording_uri URL to the call recording player in the INVOX platform.

  • reason A brief description of the reason for the call.

  • summary AI-generated summary of the call.

  • client_sentiment The customer's sentiment during the call. Possible values: positive, neutral, or negative.

  • operator_sentiment The operator's sentiment during the call. Possible values: positive, neutral, or negative.

What can you do with the INVOX Zapier integration?

Because the INVOX call data becomes available inside Zapier, you can use it to build workflows between INVOX and the applications your marketing and sales teams already use.

For example:

INVOX → Salesforce
Create or update leads and store the caller, call status, duration, marketing source, campaign, keyword, UTM parameters, and other attribution data in Salesforce.

INVOX → HubSpot
Create or update contacts and associate phone call and marketing attribution information with CRM records.

INVOX → Shopify
Use the caller's phone number to connect tracked calls with customer or e-commerce workflows.

INVOX → Facebook Conversions
Use qualified phone calls as part of workflows for sending conversion information to Meta.

INVOX → Google Ads
Build workflows that use tracked calls and their associated advertising data as conversion signals.

INVOX → Anthropic (Claude)
Send call summaries, reasons, sentiment, and other available call information to Claude for additional classification, analysis, or automated workflows.

These are only examples. INVOX can be connected to other applications and actions available through Zapier.

Example workflow

Suppose a visitor clicks a Google Ads campaign, visits your website, and calls an INVOX dynamic tracking number.

INVOX can attribute the call to the visitor's marketing journey and collect information such as:

Google Ads → Campaign → Ad Group → Keyword → Landing Page → Phone Call

When the call is generated, the New Call trigger sends the available call and attribution data to Zapier.

You can then use that data to create or update a lead in your CRM, send a conversion to another platform, start an automated follow-up workflow, or perform additional analysis.

This allows your marketing and sales systems to use the same call attribution data collected by INVOX without requiring a custom point-to-point integration.

Availability of fields

Not every field will contain a value for every call.

The information available depends on factors such as:

  • the marketing source of the visitor;

  • whether the call originated from a dynamic or static tracking number;

  • the tracking parameters available during the visitor's session;

  • the advertising platform used;

  • the INVOX features enabled for the account;

  • whether call recording and AI analysis are enabled.

When a particular value is not available for a call, the corresponding field may be empty.

Getting started

To create an integration:

  1. Log in to your Zapier account.

  2. Create a new Zap.

  3. Select INVOX as the trigger app.

  4. Select New Call as the trigger event.

  5. Connect your INVOX account.

  6. Test the trigger to retrieve sample call data.

  7. Select the application where you want to send the INVOX data.

  8. Choose the desired action and map the INVOX fields to the corresponding fields in the destination application.

  9. Test the workflow and publish your Zap.

Once the Zap is active, new calls tracked by INVOX can automatically trigger the workflow you configured.
