Prerequisite : You must have the "ViewCreator" role to access this feature.
You can export the synoptic currently displayed in the IndaView Creator editor to the "Import IndaView" portal. This allows you to save the synoptic for later use or to share it with other applications. You can also import a synoptic from the "Import IndaView" portal back into the editor.
Exporting a Synoptic
First, open the synoptic you want to export in the editor.
Then, click the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of your screen.
From the list of actions, select "Export a Synoptic".
A confirmation message will appear, click "Ok".
Once the export is complete, a pop-up will appear with the following message :
You can now access the exported synoptic in the "Import IndaView" portal in Io-base by opening the "Synoptics" folder.
Your exported synoptics will be available there.
Importing a Synoptic
To import a synoptic, go to the editor and open the dropdown menu in the top-right corner :
Select "Import a Synoptic" from the list of actions :
A window will display the synoptics available in the "Import IndaView" menu :
Choose the synoptic you want to import and click "Confirm Selection".
The synoptic will then appear in the editor.
Important : To save the imported synoptic permanently in the application, make sure to "Save As".
Note : If the synoptic contains symbols, they must be imported into the application beforehand to display properly.
When the symbol has not been imported, you will see an error message like the one below :
The same applies to images; they need to be imported first to appear correctly upon import.
