Cloud maintenance mode

Updated over a month ago

The purpose of the Cloud box maintenance mode is to help you quickly determine the source of issues when experiencing problems with file transmission from the Indabox to the Cloud.

Specifically, it is a dedicated maintenance interface where you can identify the status of files waiting to be sent to the Cloud.

Enabling maintenance mode

Prerequisites : This procedure must be performed by a user with an administrator or maintenance role.

Access the Indabox web configuration interface.

Navigate to the “Box Management / Cloud Box Management” menu.

You will be redirected to the following page :

In the “Maintenance Mode” section, click on the “Send Command” button :

A message will appear indicating that the Cloud part will soon enter maintenance mode. The maintenance mode will then be accessible for 30 minutes.

Configuring the IP adress for the Cloud part

By default, the IP address for the Cloud part's maintenance interface is fixed : 192.168.1.223

However, you can modify this IP address.

In the “Configure IP Address” section, a dropdown list is available to let you select a configuration :

  • using DHCP :

  • using a static IP, that you can specify in the IP address field:

Once the IP address is configured, click on “Send Command” :

Note : Changing the IP address for the device's cloud part will cause a system restart for these changes to take effect.

After the system restarts, maintenance mode must be reactivated to access the web maintenance interface (refer to "Enabling maintenance mode")

Note: If you specify a static IP address, the gateway and DNS server configuration must be done in the maintenance interface.

Access the maintenance interface using the previously chosen IP (refer to the next paragraph), then go to the configuration/network configuration menu:

Accessing the Cloud Part's Maintenance Interface

Once maintenance mode is activated, you will be able to access the Cloud part's maintenance interface for 30 minutes.

In your chosen web browser, enter the previously configured IP address, followed by port 5001 : https://[configured IP address]:5001

You will reach the following login page :

Log in with the same account you used to activate maintenance mode.

Note : Only the user who activated the maintenance mode can log in to the interface.

Note : The maintenance interface is subject to the same login attempt limits as the Indabox configuration interface. After several unsuccessful login attempts, your account will be blocked in the maintenance interface. To unblock it, you must repeat the maintenance mode activation procedure.

Once logged in, you access the Cloud part's maintenance interface, which primarily allows you to:

  • View files that have not yet been sent.

  • Ping a website to verify that the box is correctly connected to the internet.

Please note that after 30 minutes, the interface will no longer be accessible. If you need to access the interface again, you will have to reactivate maintenance mode.
