Functioning of the dates
Specific period for each component
In a dashboard, each component can be set up for its own period. For example, a component can display data from the current day, and another component data from the current month. These dates can be set in the modification screen of each component.
Common period for all components
You can also set a global time range that will apply to all components on a dashboard.
All components on the dashboard will then adopt the time range set for the report. This makes it very simple to set up, for example, monthly or weekly summaries.
Locking the period of a component
When a common period is set on a dashboard, it is possible to force a component to ignore this period, and to lock it on the period that is set for it. Open the component settings screen, and check the Lock box next to the period selection zone.
Screens that are time-locked appear with a padlock on the dashboard screen at the top right.
Time Shift
You can specify a time shift for a component's period, allowing you to create a discrepancy between the dashboard's global date and the component's date.
For example, if you enter -1 as the time shift for a component:
If you select "current month" as the global display period for the dashboard, and it's August, the component will display data for July (the month prior to august).
If you change the global period of the dashboard and select "current week" as the global display period, the component will show data for the previous week.
Note: Time shift is only available when components are not locked.
