Object actions properties configuration
Updated over 6 months ago

Prerequisite : This feature is available for users with a View Creator role.

Access IndaView Creator and select a monitoring application.

Next, open a synoptic and access the configuration screen of the object you want to set up and navigate to the Actions menu.

Action properties are common to all objects.

Lock Variable

You can define a lock variable. This field is used to prevent the execution of actions associated with the object.

Similar to animations, the formula editor makes it easier to write the associated equation. Refer to the article on configuring animations.

When the lock equation is equal to True, all actions declared on the object become inactive.

Action Selection

The area below is dedicated to action selection. It allows the addition of one or more actions to be performed when the user clicks on the object.

The various available actions are :

  • Display Curves: Redirects the user to the selected metric curve in Indaba Explorer

  • Close Popup: Allows closing a popup window

  • Synoptic Navigation: Enables changing the current synoptic in IndaView

  • Open Popup: Allows opening a popup window

  • Substitution: Recalls the current schematic while specifying a set of substitution parameters

  • Send Web Request : allows the user to send a web request (e.g. to change the state of a variable via an API).

Note : This action does not open a third party web page.

Depending on the actions you choose, you will need to specify certain parameters.

For example, if you select the Synoptic Navigation action, you will need to specify the synoptic you want to open when the user clicks the button.

Managing Actions

Buttons are available for:

  • Adding an action:

  • edit an action :

  • removing an action :

  • managing the execution priority of actions:
