Things to Know When Using Offline Mode

Explains how to use the app in field environments with weak internet connection.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Farm work environments often have weak internet or no communication coverage at all. While Ation recommends using an online environment, it can still be used when the internet is weak or unavailable.

Farm Work Records

All task details performed by workers, such as farm activities and packing, are stored on the app while offline. These records are then uploaded to the server in bulk during Check out or when the device enters an environment with internet access.

Check-in / Check-out Records

Check-in and Check-out cannot be recorded while offline. Please ensure you are in an "Online" state connected to the internet before proceeding with these actions.

Essential Rules for Offline Use

  • After finishing your work, check the Records menu to ensure there are no pending uploads or unregistered items.

  • Move to a location with internet access, complete all uploads, and then finalize the Check out process.

FAQ

Q. Can I do nothing if I'm offline?

A. Depending on the situation, some functions are available. However, the safest method is to save records (temporary) → upload once connected to the internet.
