What type of treatment should I indicate if I have a salt pool?
The ioStrip application is not suitable for salt water pools: the electrolysis cell that produces chlorine from salt water requires careful study, otherwise the addition of products could lead to hazardous chemical reactions. If you have a salt water pool, we advise against using ioStrip.
Can I use ioStrip with a bromine-treated pool?
Yes, just indicate that you are using bromine when setting up your pool.
Can I use ioStrip with a UV/ozone-treated pool?
ioStrip is designed specifically for chlorine or bromine treatments: the application does not produce recommendations suitable for other treatment methods such as UV or ozone. However, you can use ioStrip simply as a measuring tool.
Can I use ioStrip for something other than my pool?
Yes, ioStrip also works with spas.
Does the application work in the same way for a heated pool?
Yes, you can use ioStrip in the same way with a heated pool as with a conventional pool. As higher temperatures encourage the growth of micro-organisms and accelerate certain chemical reactions, be sure to test your water regularly.
