How often should I test my pool?
We recommend testing your water at least three times a week, and systematically after heavy use or heavy rain. It's also advisable to re-test 24 hours after adding chemicals.
How do I dip the test strips?
Immerse the test strip in your pool water for 1 second. Remove the strip, place it on the measuring card and wait 5 seconds before taking the photo. Avoid touching the reactive zones, to avoid distorting the results.
How long should I soak the test strip?
Immerse the strip in your pool water for 1 second, then wait 5 seconds before taking the photo.
When should I do the test?
Make sure the pool has been operating normally for at least 24 hours before testing. Avoid testing immediately after adding chemicals.
The results are different if I wait longer than the indicated time before photographing. Is this normal?
Yes, this is perfectly normal. The test strips are designed to be read within a specific time interval. If you wait longer than the recommended time before taking the photo, the reagents on the strip may continue to react with the water, which may alter the colors and falsify the results. For best results, photograph ioStrip strips 5 seconds after soaking.
Does the application take into account meteorological factors, such as heavy rain or heat waves?
ioStrip does not process weather data in real time. However, we recommend that you test your water more frequently during heavy rain or heat waves.
