Spell Check Errors on Windows

This is a guide on how to tackle Spell Check Errors on Windows

Written by Tom Clewes

Please be aware that spellcheck is a Windows setting and not something built into the iPlato Toolbar. Some users have experienced these issues after updating their computers to Windows 11. Try the below trouble shoot guide from Microsoft.

Spellcheck is managed through typing and language preferences:

Step 1

  • Go to Settings → Time & Language → Typing.

  • Under Spelling, ensure the following options are turned On

  • Autocorrect misspelled words

  • Highlight misspelled words

Step 2

Confirm your display and input languages:

  • Go to Settings → Time & Language → Language & region.

  • Make sure your preferred language (e.g., English [United Kingdom]) is set as the Windows display language.

  • Click the three dots next to it → Language options → Ensure the Basic typing and Spelling language packs are installed.

This should help fix the issue. Should the problem persist, please reach out to your IT team to get further advice.
