Make your courses more engaging by embedding interactive HTML5 resources into your content.

To do this, navigate to the content tab in Build and click on the cog next to the module you want to add the interactive resource to. Select add embedded item, give the page a name and then click the cog next to the page to preview/edit the page.

Click on the cog next to the page name to access the page settings and select the Embed object tab.

Now you need to upload your resource. This needs to be compressed as a Zip file and must:

  • Be a maximum file size of 20MB
  • Not contain a video
  • Contain an index.html file in the root directory (example below)

Correct Zip file structure:

myInteractive.zip

  - index.html

  - [other folders]

     -[other files]

Incorrect Zip file structure:

myInteractive.zip

  - myInteractive

     - index.html

     - [other folders]

        -[other files]

While we can't provide support for third party software, authors using Adobe Captivate (2017) software* to create interactive resources have reported good results using the below settings for file output:

  • Using the default option to Publish for Devices with the Zip files option ticked, produces an output that matches the correct zip file structure outlined above.

*Different versions of the software may publish differently

If you want to add a video to your course content, you can find out how to do this here.

All files you upload are managed by and hosted in iQualify.

Add any additional information to the introduction, feedback and attributes fields and click update. The resource will appear in your course content.
