Many organisations use similarity detection tools as part of their assessment submission process. With iQualify, all Te Pūkenga subsidiaries can use Turnitin with iQualify without needing their own license as it is built in with the platform for all task courses.

How to add a Turnitin task into your course

If this is the first time you've added a task to your course, check out our Adding a task to your course article.

Note: The Turnitin tasks can only be used as stand alone tasks. They can't be used as part of a quiz.

To add a Turnitin task to your course:

  • Navigate to the page you want to add the task to, click on the + button and select Task.

When selecting a task type choose Similarity check enabled from the drop down list.

Then choose either file upload or essay.

Continue to create your task as normal. When you save it you'll see the CHECK CONTENT button on the task.
