As a facilitator you can embed a web page in your course. Learners in the course will then able to view the web page from the main course menu.
What can I embed?
Some of our partners are using this to allow facilitators to add in a regular web conferencing set up, or a calendar to show key dates/events or tutor availability. Other ideas are:
A shared collage for the class using a tool like Padlet.
A growing collaborative mind map for the course using Mindmeister.
A YouTube channel (for recorded lectures).
An RSS feed for the latest relevant news.
How do I add a web page or LTI application?
As a facilitator, you'll see a + Add to this course tab at the bottom of the course menu.
Selecting the Web page option will open an Embed object screen (screenshot below).
Add a title and webpage URL and any instructions.
Choose whether you want to embed the page or just link to it.
If you choose to embed you can add embed sizes if required.
Add any instructions and attributes if required.
Save.
You will now see your new tab on the course menu in place of the + Add to the course icon. Depending on whether you have chosen Embed or Launch you will either see the Go to App button or the web meeting tool embedded in your page.

Feature availability
The ability for facilitators to add LTI applications or web pages can be turned on or off by the account owner for your organisation. If you do not see the plus tab described in the article, please speak with your account owner regarding turning on this functionality.
Website permissions
Websites can disallow embedding. If your embedded page is not displaying this may be the reason. You can check if embeds are disallowed by this website by accessing your browser console (F12 on chrome, ensure the console tab is selected).
What you are looking for are errors (red) and specifically things like "Refused to display... because... sameorigin". Error descriptions may vary significantly but if you find an error similar to this, embeds are probably disallowed:
Example: Embedding a calendar
Here, we have embedded a URL for a google calendar into our course offering.
This is a google calendar listing all of the New Zealand based holidays. You might choose to use a calendar of key dates/events or tutor availability.
