Studio Views: Focused & Multi-view

Learn about the different views in the studio and how each can enhance your video production workflow.

Updated over a month ago

Iris offers two distinct views to accommodate various stages and needs of video production, making it easier to manage, preview, and switch between sources. Understanding and utilizing these views can significantly improve your efficiency and production quality. Here's how each view works and its benefits:

Focus View

  1. Overview: Focus View is the default setting in Iris. It presents one large source or canvas in the center of your screen, allowing you to concentrate on a single source at a time.

  2. Layout: Smaller tiles on the left-hand tray display the remaining sources, enabling quick access and visibility without overwhelming the main workspace.

  3. Usage: Ideal for fine-tuning image settings or framing a specific shot with precision. The Focus View allows for detailed adjustments and closer inspection of your primary source.

Multi-View

  1. Overview: In Multi-View, all sources are displayed in equal size. You can scroll horizontally to view and navigate through all your sources effortlessly.

  2. Interaction: Clicking on a source in Multi-View lets you control it directly. Single Source view puts the selected camera in the Canvas Window.

  3. Usage: Perfect for fast-cutting shows or when managing multiple sources simultaneously. It enables quick switching and easier framing across multiple sources.

Navigating Between Views

  • Hotkeys can be used to swiftly navigate between views, enhancing your production workflow and allowing for quick adjustments on the fly.
