The Evasive Warrior event provided Forward Edge-AI and Cubic with an opportunity to validate Isidore Quantum® in realistic tactical scenarios using ATAK devices and MPU5 radios. The primary objective was to prove that Isidore could operate as a transparent, protocol-free encryption solution while maintaining mission-critical functionality such as blue force tracking, target sharing, and real-time location updates . The event brought together government, industry, and academic participants to test interoperability in contested environments, simulating the conditions faced by warfighters in the field.
Testing confirmed that Isidore could be seamlessly integrated into ATAK networks without modification to applications or radios. Both static and mobile trials demonstrated secure ATAK-to-ATAK communications, with no observable impact on performance. Communications held reliably at operational ranges of three to five miles, even under mobility and in environments affected by terrain and infrastructure interference . The system proved capable of preserving situational awareness features without disruption, validating Isidore’s role as a mission-ready encryption layer.
A key technical achievement was Isidore’s ability to secure communications without introducing noticeable spectrum signatures. Spectrum analysis performed with a SignalHound analyzer showed no significant difference between encrypted and unencrypted traffic, even with multiple layers of encryption applied . The near-identical RF footprint ensures encrypted communications are not easily detectable or distinguishable from unencrypted traffic, representing a significant advancement in stealth and operational security for tactical users.
Troubleshooting during the event highlighted configuration lessons. Initial ATAK communication issues were traced to subnet misalignment, which was resolved through static IP assignment in the ATAK Networking App. Once corrected, all encrypted communications functioned seamlessly . Lessons learned emphasized the importance of pre-configuring IP ranges, enabling DHCP, and ensuring use of the MIL version of ATAK to support Ethernet-based operations. These insights will streamline future deployments and reduce setup complexity in field conditions.
Overall, the Evasive Warrior results validated Isidore Quantum as a practical, low-SWaP, field-ready encryption solution for contested tactical environments. The device demonstrated transparency, interoperability, and robustness under operational stress, while maintaining a minimal spectral footprint that protects against signal detection and intelligence analysis. Beyond technical validation, the event also generated strong interest from vendors and potential partners, highlighting opportunities for expanded integration across tactical communications systems .
