There are 3 main requirements:

(1) 3D model (.glb)

(2) Hotspots

(3) Panoramas

Please refer to the following key notes for each requirement.

(1) 3D Model files (.glb)

  • The 3D model form is required to be in GLB format and file size is recommended to be under 10MB.

  • Try to lower the number of faces in your model. Remove decorated tags which are not related to products displays, such as searchlight and decorative thread. Only keeping the basic visibility of model is fine.

  • The recommended texture resolution in models is 72~96dpi in order to avoid a file size that’s too large.

  • It’s recommended to have 15 texture maps in a model for better loading efficacy (tip: the same texture can be merged into one object to reduce the number of objects).

  • Create your model based on the actual size to avoid proportional errors afterwards.

  • Set the 3D model at the position (X,Y,Z) = (0,0,0).

(2) Cameras included in .glb

  • The 3D model file (.glb) must be equipped with cameras in order to allow the system to generate the hotspots automatically.

  • The cameras that are equipped in .glb files cannot be in any group. Also, the height of all cameras should be consistent and all settings face the same direction (please refer to the part 2).

(3) Panoramas

  • Each camera in .glb has to be uploaded with one panorama, which is suggested to be rendered in 8K.

  • Because of the memory limitation of Chrome itself, it might affect the uploading process when the total size of all panaoramas is over 100MB. Therefore, to ensure the panoramas upload succesfully, Firefox is the best browser to use when you upload panoramas with a total file size of over 100MB.
