Remote Access from JACK App Support

Using Chrome Remote Access Support

ℹ️ Remote access is when you allow one of the JACK App support team members to connect to your computer to view and temporarily be in the 'driver seat'. They will have the same access as you, but everything stays on your computer.
This is a great way to allow us to provide hands-on support 👐

⚠️ This service is only available through Chrome or Edge web browsers

How to get started with remote access

  1. On your computer, open Google web browser, Chrome

  2. Click on the link: https://remotedesktop.google.com/support
    or copy and paste it into the address bar at the top, and press Enter

  3. Under “Remote Support, “ click Download ⬇️

  4. Follow the onscreen directions to download and install Chrome Remote Desktop

  5. Once installed, select Generate Code (Note: the code will only be valid for 5 min)

  6. Copy the code and send it to the JACK App Support Team via chat or email

  7. When that person enters your access code on the site, you'll see a pop-up with their email address. Select Share to allow them full access to your computer

  8. Confirmation of the connection appears at the bottom as shown below

  9. The JACK Team will be able to help, hands-on

  10. To end the sharing session, click Stop Sharing

🔷 The access code will only work once and is only valid for 5 minutes.

🔷 If you are sharing your computer for an extended time, you will be asked to confirm that you want to continue to share your computer every 30 minutes.
