Link an allowance to a selection set
Updated over a week ago

JACK allows you to link an allowance to a selection set, which tracks the total value of selections made against an allowance. If the total value of selections exceeds the allowance amount, this will create an approved variation and automatically update the job budget.

To link an allowance to a selection set, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Jobs > select the relevant job > Project Management > Selections > choose the relevant selection set or add a new selection set.

  2. If there is a variation linked to the selection set, you will not be able to link an allowance to it. In this scenario, you would first need to go to the variation linked to the selection set and remove the link.

  3. Under the Allowance Allocation subheading, click Add Allowance, and a drop-down of all available allowances will appear. Select the relevant allowance/allowances you want to link to the selection set.

  4. Always ensure you save any changes to the selection set at the bottom right of the screen before exiting.
