Overview

The Communication Log (Comms Log) provides a complete record of every email sent from the system, whether generated automatically or sent by a user. It serves as your central place to confirm an email was sent and to quickly see who sent it, when it was delivered, and who received it.

How to Access the Comms Log

To access the Comms Log, scroll down the main side menu and click Comms Log. This will open a page displaying all communication records, organized by tabs at the top of the screen. From there, you can switch between tabs or apply filters to narrow your results, view the action taken (such as “Email Sent”), see what the message was related to, and review the sender, recipient, and timestamp details.

What You’ll See

  • The All tab shows every email sent from JACK, including the recipient, sender, and subject line.

  • The Schedule/Tasks tab captures emails triggered when a task or schedule item is assigned

  • The Comments tab records emails sent when someone adds a comment to a schedule item. If notifications are turned on, the assigned users will receive an email and it will appear here.

  • The Reminders tab displays reminder emails sent from a Schedule Item or a Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

  • The Selections/Change Orders tab shows emails sent when a Selection or Change Order is submitted to the client for review and approval.

  • The Finance tab logs emails generated for Purchase Orders and Requests for Quote (RFQs).

  • The Safety tab records which Job Safety Analysis (JSA) was sent and to whom.

  • The Daily Logs tab tracks emails triggered by daily log entries, including notifications to the author and recipients.

  • The Automations tab shows emails automatically generated by system automations.
