Overview

Start your job with an unlocked estimate to manage purchase orders, deposit invoices, and client changes, keeping your project flexible from the start.

Convert Estimate To A Job

To access this functionality, navigate to Estimates > Costings and click . A pop-up will open with a three-step workflow

Step : Select your Job Template and enter or confirm the job address.

Step : Set the Job Type to Fixed Price or Cost Plus. You also have the option to enable 'Invoice Retention' for Percentage Complete Jobs. Click Next to move to Step 3.

Step: Before converting your lead into a job, you have one final step. Under Contract Price, choose whether to lock it to your estimate or leave it unlocked. Leaving it unlocked lets you keep your estimate editable after conversion. Next, confirm the primary Tax Code for client invoicing and select the estimate items you want to bring across. When everything is set, click   to complete the conversion and start managing your job.

Update Costings In Job Budget

Once your estimate has been converted to a job, you will have the ability to update your estimate. To push across all updates to your Job budget, navigate to your Job > Estimate > Costings and click or navigate to Job Financials > Budget and click . A pop-up will appear to confirm the sync and push all costings to the Job Budget. You’ll see this icon () next to the line item, indicating that it has successfully synced to the job.
