Green Water
If the dreaded green water has invaded your spa, don’t fret. Algae thrives in water that has a high pH or a low level of sanitizer. Adjust the pH levels in your hot tub by using Jacuzzi® pH Up or Jacuzzi® PH/Alkalinity down. Then add Jacuzzi® Spa Chlorinating Granules or Jacuzzi® Brominating Tablets as necessary. Your water will be crystal clear and ready to use in no time.

What you’ll need
Test Strips
Jacuzzi® Spa chlorinating granules
Measuring spoon with tsp measurements
Instructions:
Turn on pump
Submerge the test strip six inches below the water line
Check your chlorine water results
The chlorine desire range is between 1 and 3 ppm
If your chlorine levels are over 3.0, we recommend you drain and refill
To raise your chlorine, utilize Jacuzzi spa chlorinating granules 2 tbp per 400 gallons
Super chlorination is 4 tsp per 400 gallons of water
Allow the water to circulate for 20 minutes
Retest and repeat the previous steps if needed
