Many food delivery platforms, including Just Eat, require you to mark clearly where your products include allergens such as nuts, shellfish, gluten etc. It’s also important to clearly mark any products that contain alcohol.

You can do this quickly and easily on Practi when setting up your online menu (you can find more information on setting up online menus here).

Adding allergen warnings

  1. Log in to the Back Office and go to the “Menus” section in the sidebar on the left.

  2. Choose the menu that you want to add allergen warnings to.

  3. Click on the item that you want to add allergen information for.

4. Here you have three options to choose from: “Does not contain allergens” (which is the default setting), “May contain traces of allergens” or “May contain allergens.” If there is a possibility that your product “may contain allergens,” then you can choose the relevant allergens from a drop down menu. Otherwise, if you are sure it is allergen free, you can select “Does not contain allergens.”

5. Once all the allergen information is complete, press “Save” at the top of the page. This will automatically update your online menu.

Adding alcohol warnings

To add alcohol information for your products, you need to edit the product in the Back Office.

  1. Log in to the Back Office and select the “Products” under the “Catalogue” section of the sidebar on the left.

  2. Find the product that you want to add alcohol information for.

  3. Towards the bottom of the page, you will see a tick box labelled “Alcoholic” (if you do not see this tick box on the page, contact ukpos.support@justeattakeaway.com and they will enable it for you).

4. Fill in that tickbox and a pop up screen will appear. Enter the alcohol percentage and volume of the product.

5. Save these details and then save again at the top of the screen.
