If you would like to stop receiving orders from your online channels, you can use Practi’s busy mode to temporarily pause your order channels. This means you can stop receiving orders from:

  • Just Eat

  • Your own Practi website

Deliveroo online/offline settings will still need to be managed from the Deliveroo device.

Rejecting orders on some may affect your customer experience score on some food delivery apps, so it is a good idea to use busy mode if you’re unable to take on more orders.

  1. To take your restaurant offline and into busy mode, you’ll find a “Busy Mode” button on the top right of your EPOS screen. Tap on it to see your different order channels.

2. You can either tap the “Stop orders” button at the top, in the “All Channels” row, or choose the order channels you’d like to pause from the list.

3. You’ll then be asked how long you’d like to go offline for. If you choose “Rest of the day”, then it will automatically reset at 5am the next day and your restaurant will be available for customers to place orders according to your usual opening hours.

4. A pop up message will appear at the bottom of the screen when busy mode is switched on or off for an order channel.

5. You can see the status of your online channels and switch busy mode on or off at any time from the black bar at the bottom of your EPOS screen.
