Moving an item in its Final Location will allow you to remove the item from Stock (and allow you to create an End-User Service case).

First, you must prepare to move an item to its Final Location, then you can move the item to its Final Location.

Preparing to Move an Item to its Final Location

  1. On the Purchasing tab of the project, make sure the STATUS column of the item shows "Received via PO" or "Pulled from Stock" (or some complete combination of the two).

  2. Print or download the item QR label and affix it to the item you are installing.

  3. Go into the project that is using that item.

  4. On the Overview page, in the bottom right corner (under "Additional Tools"), click on Generate QR Codes.

  5. In the pop-up window, select "Generate Room Stock Location Codes".

  6. Also select whether you want all Room QR codes to be on one page ("Sheet") or have each Room QR code on its own page ("Individual Labels"), and click Generate. (This will generate a PDF that contains your Room QR codes.)

TIP: You can provide these Room QR codes to your field techs as part of their installation package of paperwork so that they can scan items to their final location at the jobsite.

Moving an Item to its Final Location

You can move an item to its Final Location using (A) your JetbuiltGO mobile app or (B) a handheld barcode scanner connected to your computer.

NOTE: After moving an item to its Final Location, the item will no longer appear in the Items area of Stock because it is no longer an inventory item. In other words, the item will be removed from Stock.

(A) Using your JetbuiltGO mobile app:

  1. In JetbuiltGO, go to the Stock module.

  2. Tap the orange Move Items button.

  3. Scan the item's QR label.

  4. Tap Move (or tap Scan More if you have more item QR labels to scan for this Room, then scan the other item QR labels, and then tap Move).

  5. Scan the appropriate Room QR code (i.e., the Room QR code for the room that the item is in).

  6. Tap Final Location. (You will be navigated to the Project>Assets page.)

-OR-

(B) Using a barcode scanner connected to your computer:

  1. On the Stock>Items page, find the item that you want to move to Final Location.

  2. Expand the item name header--by clicking the item's name/model--to display the individual items in Stock.

  3. Click on the black Move Arrow next to the Serial Number (or N/A). This will open the "Move Items" pop-up window.

  4. With your cursor clicked into in the "Search Or Scan Location To Move To" box, scan the Room QR code.

After performing the steps in either (A) or (B), the item is moved/installed to its final location.

NOTES:

  • If you received the item on a Purchase Order (PO): Upon installing the item to its final location, you will see the name of the Room to which it was installed in the STATUS column on the Stock (beta) tab of the project.

  • If you manually added the item to Stock: Upon installing the item to its final location, you will continue to see "Pulled from Stock" in the STATUS column on the Stock (beta) tab of the project (which is the same STATUS you see after performing a "Pull from Stock" on the Purchasing tab of the project).

  • If you entered a serial number when the item was received via PO in Stock: Upon installing the item to its final location, you will find the item's serial number listed:

    1. On the Stock (beta) tab of the project in the SERIAL NUM column, and

    2. On the Assets tab of the project in the SERIAL NUM column.

  • If you entered a serial number when the item was manually added to Stock: Upon installing the item to its final location, you will find the item's serial number listed on the Assets tab of the project in the SERIAL NUM column.
