Intro to Jetpack

Jobs vs. Tasks

Jobs vs. Template

A template is your standardized checklist for the work that you do for many clients. It is a tool to create jobs. To know if you are working in a template, you’ll see the status of "Template" inside its profile page.

To access the template's profile, you can click on the Jobs tab, then the Templates subtab. Afterward, click on the name of the template.

A job is a project or work that your client pays you to do that can be created from a template. It is a project that is assigned to a client or possibly internal work that you need to complete for your firm.

You can see your jobs from the Jobs tab and you’ll notice two statuses that are specific to jobs, which are Pending (meaning the job has not been started yet) and In Progress (meaning the job has at least one task completed but is not fully finished).

After all tasks inside a job have been completed, the job will then go to the Completed area of the Jobs tab, found in your Status filter.

How To Use the Jobs List

Sticky Work Environment and the Reset Button

The jobs page inside of Jetpack is what we like to call a 'sticky work environment' which means that this page will remember any previous searches, sorts and filter selections you have made. They will not be removed unless you either remove them manually OR use the reset button! We always recommend getting in the habit of using that reset button to make sure you are viewing all of the work that you have visibility to.

How to Reset Sorts, Searches and Filters

1. To reset sorts, searches AND filters click the Reset button to the right of the filters

This will clear your filters and reset you to the default sort of due date
