We all have times where a client emails us and asks us to look into something or complete a one off project. One of the coolest features that Jetpack Workflow offers is the ability to forward that client communication into your Jetpack account and create a job profile with all the emailed information. Here's steps on how to use this feature!

  1. From the same email account that's tied to your Jetpack Workflow account, forward the existing email or send an email with the new job to newjob@m.jetpackworkflow.com.

    1. This will create a new job in Jetpack which is automatically assigned to you as the job manager, contains the same title as the subject line on your email, will have a due date as the same day you emailed the job in, and will have no associated tasks and clients (you'll edit this).

  2. Click on the job name and click Edit to make any changes

    1. Adjust the due date as needed and assign a client to the job so it will be stored on that client's Jetpack profile

    2. Reassign the job to another team member if needed

    3. Set up a repeat criteria (if needed)

    4. Scroll to the bottom to view any attached documents under the Documents subtab, if applicable

    5. Create task(s) and assign the task(s) to your team members as needed

Keep in mind, the following limitations on emailing jobs into Jetpack Workflow:

  • You cannot forward or send an email into an existing job.

  • The client assignment field will always be blank because the system doesn't know what client is associated with the job.

  • The due date of the emailed job will be the same date you emailed it in. This is super important because if you have a lot of past due jobs, you might not see it right away.
