Assigning out work inside of Jetpack Workflow is crucial to everyday success and adoption. By having work assigned out to team members, you are setting clear expectations of what work they should be completing and also you'll be giving yourself and other team members visibility to statuses of work.

You can have one or multiple team members assigned to work on a job for a client. Each job profile will have a job manager (the person responsible for overseeing or getting that work done on time) as well as staff members (team member assigned to any task in the workflow). Here are some helpful tips for assigning out work inside of your account.

Assign work on the job level by updating the Manager field

  • To do this on one job, click the name of the job to get to the job's profile

  • Click Edit and then update the manager assignment

  • Any tasks that were unassigned in this job profile will now be automatically assigned to the job manager

::Note:: You can also single click on the area next to and under Manager on the job's profile to open the job details to be edited

You can also mass update the Manager for multiple jobs

  • Filter, search and sort your jobs list to show the jobs you want to make the same update to

  • Click on the main checkbox on the right-hand side of the screen to select all jobs from the list

  • Then, click the drop-down arrow menu

  • Choose Job details from the drop-down menu

  • From here, you can update the Manager by checking the box next to Update manager

  • Select the team member from the drop-down menu you want to assign these jobs to

  • Select Update jobs and your jobs will have been reassigned to that team member

To assign individual tasks to team members inside the job's profile

  • Click on the task to open it up to be edited

  • Choose a team member from the dropdown list

Here's how to mass update/reassign the task assignee from the Tasks subtab

  • Click on the Jobs tab, then on the Tasks subtab

  • Hover your mouse in the assigned to column and click the person icon or initials to assign a task

  • Mass update the task assignments by selecting multiple tasks using the checkboxes on the right side

  • Click the edit button (pen and paper icon) and then update the assignee
