Welcome! If you have just signed up with Jetpack, you’ve come to the right place! Jetpack is the easiest  way to standardize, automate and track your jobs to ensure that nothing falls through the cracks!

Your clients, your jobs and the communication around those jobs and clients are organized clearly in Jetpack. You can connect everybody within your firm that uses Jetpack. Within your firm, you and your colleagues can collaborate on your jobs. We have a great free course that will walk you through all the setup steps! That can be accessed here. You can also create your Jetpack account and get started with the steps below!

Four steps to get started (important to do these steps in order)

1. Add templates

A template is a standardized procedure that is meant to be used again and again to create projects across clients. It is a tool for creating jobs. You don’t want to make templates client-specific. Your template should contain those tasks you have to do for every client but not all tasks you have to do for all clients.

2. Add your clients

Now that you’ve added a few templates, let’s explore clients. You can add your clients into Jetpack in a few different ways. You can add clients one at a time,  import a spreadsheet, or integrate with QuickBooks Online.

As you add your clients you will also want to tag them. Tags are a way to segment your client list based on what you do for each client. You can add your tags one client at a time , or mass add them. However, the quickest way is to add them in to your client spreadsheet and add them all at once.

3. Add your team

When you track your work in Jetpack, everybody knows who is doing what and when, so you have clarity and accountability around work. Now that you’ve explored templates and clients on your own, you can invite a teammate to try Jetpack with you and start working inside Jetpack.

You can add a team member and determine how much access they have within your Jetpack account.

4. Create Jobs

Now that you’ve added your templates, clients, and team members, let’s create jobs. Jobs allow you to organize all of the tasks related to a specific project or engagement that a client hires you to do. For example, you can track 1040s, Bookkeeping, Client Onboarding, meeting agendas, and more.

Creating a job is simple!

You can create jobs for multiple clients using a template or create jobs for one client using a template.

Once you have created your jobs, you can edit them one at a time.

And with your team members added, you can also now mass edit your jobs to assign your team members work.
