On the website

Jiffy automatically displays in French when your browser’s preferred language is set to French.

Here’s how to check or update your settings:

Chrome (Windows / macOS)

  1. Open Chrome → three-dot menu (⋮) → SettingsLanguages.

  2. Under “Preferred languages,” click Add language, choose Français (Canada) or Français, and click Add.

  3. Next to French, click the three-dot menu → Move to top.

  4. Reload the Jiffy page — it should now appear in French.

Microsoft Edge (Windows / macOS)

  1. Open Edge → three-dot menu (⋯) → SettingsLanguages.

  2. Click Add languages, select Français (Canada) or Français, then click Add.

  3. Click the three-dot menu beside French → Move to top (or Display Microsoft Edge in this language if you’d like).

  4. Restart Edge, then open Jiffy again — it will appear in French.

Safari (macOS)

Safari follows your Mac’s language settings.

  1. Open System Settings > General > Language & Region.

  2. Click + Add Language, choose Français (Canada), then drag it above English in the list.

  3. Restart Safari and reload Jiffy — it should now appear in French.

Tip: If you’d like to keep your Mac in English afterward, you can move English back to the top. Jiffy will stay in French until you clear site data.

On the mobile app

iOS

You can change Jiffy’s language directly in your iPhone settings without switching your entire device language — as long as French is one of your available languages.

  1. Go to Settings > General > Language & Region.

  2. Tap Add Language, choose Français (Canada) or Français, and make sure it appears in the list.

  3. Then go to Settings > Jiffy > Language.

  4. Select Français (Canada) or Français.

  5. Reopen Jiffy — it will now display in French.

If you don’t see the “Language” option under Jiffy’s app settings, it means your device is running an older version of iOS. In that case, Jiffy follows your iPhone’s primary language — move French to the top of the list in Settings > General > Language & Region to switch the app.

Android

If you’re using Android 13 or newer, you can change Jiffy’s language without switching your whole phone:

  1. Go to Settings > System > Languages & Input > Languages.

  2. Tap Add a language, choose Français (Canada) or Français, and make sure it appears in your list (it doesn’t need to be first).

  3. Then go to Settings > Apps > Jiffy > Language.

  4. Select Français (Canada) or Français.

  5. Reopen Jiffy — the app will now display in French.

On older Android versions, Jiffy will follow your device’s primary language. In that case, move French to the top of your language list to switch the app.

Still seeing English?

If Jiffy is still showing in English after following the steps above, try these quick checks:

  • Browser users (Chrome, Edge, Safari):

    • Make sure Français (Canada) or Français is at the top of your browser’s (or system’s, for Safari) language list.

    • Refresh the page or close and reopen your browser tab.

    • Clear cookies or cached site data if you previously visited Jiffy in English — your browser may be remembering your old preference.

  • Mobile app users (iOS / Android):

    • Verify you’ve selected French within the Jiffy app settings (on iOS: Settings > Jiffy > Language; on Android 13 +: Settings > Apps > Jiffy > Language).

    • If you don’t see a language option, your device is running an older OS version — Jiffy will follow your device’s main language.

    • Fully close and reopen the app after changing the setting.

If you’ve checked all this and Jiffy is still appearing in English, reach out to us through chat — we’ll help you confirm your settings.
