What is Smart match activity type?
Smart match activity type gives your representatives the automated power to log activities within your CRM based on the subject line of your calendar invites. For instance, once you enable the SmartMatch feature, any meetings with subjects like “Demo,” “Meeting,” or “Discovery” will be automatically logged under the appropriate activity type. This feature is organization-wide, meaning once it's enabled, it will be active for all Jiminny licensed users. You can access and enable it from Settings > CRM Activity Logging > Company-wide.
How Does Smart match activity type Work?
When Jiminny imports a meeting from your calendar, it inspects the subject line. If a match is found for a word in your activity types, the activity type is populated automatically. Here are some key points about how it functions:
Full Match: Smart match activity type uses a full match search for activity types. For example, “Web Demo” will not match “Client Demo.”
Case Insensitivity: The search is case-insensitive, meaning "demo" and "Demo" are treated the same.
Integration with Sidekick Autolog: If you use our Sidekick autolog feature, the activity type from the subject will be used if matched. If not, it will default to your conference autolog type setting.
