Depending on how your school’s systems are set up, you may have technology in place that restricts certain websites or domains where they can receive emails.

Please review the following information to help ensure that students and faculty are able to:

  • Receive emails from PathwayU for account activation; and

  • Are able to access the branded PathwayU website for your school

----------------

Server-side Whitelisting for Emails and Web Access at School

Prior to rollout, please let your IT department know that you have a new online platform that students will require access – both emails and website

You can ask them to whitelist our specific domains for emails and online access. The domains to ask for whitelisting are as follows:

  • jobzology.com

  • pathwayu.com

----------------

Whitelisting for Personal Email (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail)

If your students are using personal email addresses to sign up for account through common services such as Gmail, Hotmail/Outlook.com they may have issues with our emails getting caught in spam, junk, or clutter folders.

Each of these systems have a way to whitelist domains to prevent this from happening.

Gmail

  • Open the settings icon at the upper right-hand side of Gmail (the gear icon), and choosing "Settings" from the list.

  • Open the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.

  • Click the link called Create a new filter. If you already have lots of filters you won't see this link until you scroll to the very bottom of the page.

  • In the From field, type the following: @jobzology.com | @pathwayu.com

  • Please make sure you have entered the domain (@jobzology), followed by a vertical bar ( | ) with a space before and after, followed by the second domain (@pathwayu.com)

TIP: If you don't see the vertical bar (also called the pipe or vertical slash) on your keyboard, hold Shift then his the backslash key (\)

  • Click Create filter at the bottom of the pop-up window to make the whitelist filter.

  • For the When a message arrives that matches this search, select the Never send it to spam option and Save the filter.

Hotmail/Outlook.com

  • Open the settings icon at the ipper right-hand side of Hotmail/Outlook.com (the gear icon), and click view full settings toward the bottom

  • Under the Junk email option, scroll to Safe Senders section.

  • Type in jobzology.com and hit Add.

  • Type in pathwayu.com and hit Add.

  • Hit the Save button.

Other Email Providers

  • Google search How to whitelist domain in <insert email provider name>

  • Follow the online instructions.
