Your Bio is your platform to showcase your skills, experience, education and aspirations. Here are a few tips to help you build the perfect Bio:

Introduction

A good intro should set the scene for what is to follow. Give an overview of yourself, highlight your qualifications and experience, hint at your achievements and indicate your aspirations.

Your Experience

This section of your Bio needs to include relevant points that prove you’re the person all Hiring Managers should consider first.

Detail your work history, highlighting all roles you had in a particular company. Use this section to showcase the skills you brought to the role and any key achievements.

Education

List all of your relevant education, starting with your most recent. Include any certificates that you’ve completed along the way.

Skills

Adding your skills is quick and easy: simply start typing the keyword and pop it in the box. Try to use single-word keywords (CRM, Sales, Hospitality, SQL...), avoid full sentences like "Great communication skills" and refrain from using -Hyphens or #Hashtags.

Personalise

All that's left to do is add your stamp. You can add links, photos and video into your Bio.

Is there a personal project that you'd love to show off? Do you have a blog? This is your chance to let employers know a little more about you.

Finally, give yourself a pat on the back: You're one step closer to your future.
