Overview
The Product Inventory On-Hand report helps you understand what's currently in stock across all your locations, and what that inventory is worth. It shows current on-hand quantities alongside cost, retail, and profit value for each product at each location.
Use this report to monitor stock levels, spot products at risk of running low, and evaluate the cost and retail value of inventory you're currently holding. It's especially useful for purchasing and replenishment planning, since you can review quantities and estimated profitability by product, brand, category, or supplier before deciding what to reorder.

Report Caveats
There are a few important caveats and limitations to be aware of when using this report. Use these details to better understand how the data behaves and how to interpret it correctly.
Caveats | Details and Impact |
New measure: Average unit cost | A new measure called average unit cost has been introduced, which is a moving average based on the cost price of the product in the last six months. It is now used to calculate the cost value and the profit value of the inventory. |
Inventory field reflects inventory as of the selected "Inventory As Of Date" — not a historical range | This report shows a point-in-time snapshot of inventory for a single selected date, specified in the Inventory As Of Date filter. The default is today. Changing this date shows what inventory looked like on that day — it is not an aggregation across a period. |
Cost Value and Profit Value only populate when the Inventory As Of Date is set to today | Cost Value, Price Value, and Profit Value are conditionally calculated only when the selected date equals the current date. If the Inventory As Of Date is set to a past date, these fields will return null or zero — only Inventory On Hand quantity will populate for historical dates. This is a known behavior of how these measures are built |
Products with no unit cost/price configured will show $0 for Cost Value and Profit Value | If a product has no default unit cost / price entered in — either on the product configuration or on the purchase orders that brought inventory in — Average Unit Cost will be $0. As a result, Cost Value will be $0 and Profit Value will equal Price Value, overstating profitability. Ensure unit costs are configured for products where margin and cost tracking matter. |
All values are calculated at the product-location level — always keep Location Name in the report grouping | Inventory On Hand, Price Value, Cost Value, and Profit Value are all computed per product per location. Removing Location Name from the grouping will cause these values to be summed across all locations for the same product, producing inflated and incorrect totals. Location Name should always be included as a grouping dimension when using any of the value or quantity fields in this report. |
This report only includes products that are active and have inventory tracking enabled | Only products where both Is Product Active = true and Is Quantity Tracking Enabled = true are included. Products that are inactive, or active but not set up for inventory tracking, will not appear as rows. This report cannot be used to audit all products in the catalog — it reflects only the subset of products currently active and being tracked in inventory. |
