We're excited to bring you an expanded reporting experience. If you don't see the reporting features described below, don't worry—this updated reporting experience will become available to your account over time.
Overview
The Views tab within Reports allows you to find and manage every saved view across all reports — including views your team has published for everyone to use.
Use it to see all your saved report configurations in one place, discover views your teammates have published business-wide, and manage who else can see them. Note that users will only see shared views to reports they have access to.
For details on how to create saved views, see Customizing and Filtering Reports.
Private views vs. Business Views
Every saved report view has one of two visibility settings:
Private: only visible to the person who created it.
Business view: visible to everyone in the business with access to that report.
Business views are what make the dedicated views tab useful as a shared destination: once someone publishes one, it shows up in the section for every user who can access that report, alongside their own private views.
Note: Publishing a Business view requires the Reporting Management > Publish Views permission. Without it, a user can still save private views, but the Business view option won't be available. See Reporting Permissions for more information.
Filtering and Managing your views
The Views tab lists every view you own, plus every Business view published on a report you have access to. Use the filters at the top of the page to locate specific report views.
Filter | Description |
Name | The view's saved name |
Source | The source report a view was created from |
Visibility | Private or Business view |
Created at | When the view was saved |
Owner | The view's creator |
Business views display the owner's avatar next to their name, so it's easy to see who's maintaining a given view. The only Private views shown will be your own; you cannot see other users private views.
Selecting a row takes you to that report with the view automatically applied. From there, you can manage the view using the three-dot menu and select one of the following options:
Rename the view
Edit its description
Change view visibility: Private or Business
Note: Changing a Business View to Private, or deleting it, removes it from every other user's view switcher and the View Hub immediately.
Delete the view
Only the view's owner or an account admin can make these changes.
Note: When a view owner leaves the business
If the owner of a Business View is deactivated, their avatar changes to a building icon in the Views tab and in the report's view switcher. Admins see a banner offering to reassign ownership to themselves or another admin — the view itself doesn't always need to be recreated.
