Resetting Your 4-Digit PIN

How to change your PIN or reset it if forgotten

Your 4-digit PIN keeps your Chest account secure. If you need to change it or have forgotten it, here's what to do.

Changing your PIN

If you know your current PIN and want to change it:

  1. Go to My Account

  2. Tap Edit Account

  3. Select Change PIN

  4. Enter your current PIN

  5. Enter your new PIN

  6. Confirm your new PIN

Your PIN is updated immediately.

Forgotten your PIN

If you've forgotten your PIN and can't log in:

  1. Open the Chest app

  2. On the login screen, tap "Manual login"

  3. We'll send a verification code to your registered phone number

  4. Enter the code to verify your identity

  5. Create a new PIN

  6. Confirm your new PIN

You'll be logged in with your new PIN straight away.

Tips for choosing a secure PIN

  • Avoid obvious combinations like 1234, 0000, or 1111

  • Don't use your birth year or date of birth

  • Don't use a PIN you use for your bank card or other accounts

  • Choose something memorable to you but not easy for others to guess

Keep your PIN private

Never share your PIN with anyone. Chest will never ask you for your PIN via email, phone, or message. If anyone asks for it, do not share it and contact us immediately.
