Chest Codes are digital gift cards you purchase through the app to earn cashback. Here's everything you need to know about using them.
What is a Chest Code?
A Chest Code is a digital gift card for a specific retailer. When you buy one through the app, you earn cashback that's contributed to your pension. The code works just like any gift card – use it to pay for your purchase.
How to purchase a Chest Code
Go to the Cashback section in the app
Browse or search for the brand you want
Select the amount you want to load onto the code
Confirm your purchase
Payment is taken instantly from your connected bank account via Open Banking. Your code will be available in the app within a few minutes.
Using your code online
When shopping online, proceed to checkout and select gift card as your payment method. Enter the code number and PIN (if required) from your Chest Code. The balance will be deducted from your order.
Using your code in-store
At the till, let the cashier know you're paying with a gift card. Open your Chest Code in the app and either show the barcode for them to scan, or read out the code number. The balance will be deducted from your purchase.
Code validity
Chest Codes have an expiry date, which varies by brand. Check the code details in the app to see when it expires. We recommend using your codes promptly to avoid them expiring.
Combining codes with other offers
In most cases, you can use Chest Codes alongside sales, discounts, and promotional offers. You're getting cashback on top of any other savings. Some restrictions may apply with certain brands – check their terms if unsure.
Trouble using your code?
If your code isn't working:
Check you're entering it correctly (no extra spaces)
Make sure the code hasn't expired
Confirm there's enough balance for your purchase
Check the brand accepts gift cards for what you're buying (some exclusions may apply)
