Driven by the length of the shift, or the shift's start or stop time, JoinedUp can be configured to automatically add both charge and pay values to a shift using automated shift bonuses.
This can save valuable time that would otherwise be used running through shifts and adding values manually.
To set up an automated shift bonus, go to Plan > Shift templates, and select the shift template you want to work with. Select the worker type that requires an automated shift bonus. Then open the rate rules modal by clicking Edit.
Scroll down to switch on shift bonuses. You will see there are three options to choose from.
Based on shift duration
Enter the length of the shift, after which the bonus will be added
Enter the charge and pay values
Hit save
Based on shift start time
Enter the two times between which the start time will fall in order to get the bonus
Enter the charge and pay values
Hit save
Based on shift stop time
Enter the two times between which the stop time will fall in order to get the bonus
Enter the charge and pay values
Hit save
Once these rate rules have been amended, your shift bonus is ready to go. The shift bonus will be added automatically to the worker type you have amended, when each shift using this shift template has both start and stop times entered.
