equ is an app-based mind and body transformation program. We provide science-based nutrition plans tailored to your body's needs with the food you love to eat 😍

Our program provides a meal plan service supported by your own personal nutritional coach who stays with you throughout your journey.

When you first open the equ app on your phone you will be prompted to provide information on your food preferences.

Here you can exclude ingredients you're not fond of (salmon, tomatoes, etc.). You can also let us know if you have any allergies or dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan etc.).

You are then prompted to input starting measurements.

Once this is done, your coach will have enough information to work out your daily water intake, calorie goal and macro-nutritional needs. These we refer to as your daily targets.

Once your daily targets are calculated, your first meal plan will follow. From then on, you will receive one new meal plan each week - which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and snacks.

Once your first meal plan has been created, you will be assigned a check-in day by your coach. On your check-in day each week, you’ll be prompted via push notification to submit your updated weight, measurements, photos, food preferences etc. via the app's homepage.

Following each check-in, your coach will assess your progress and provide you with a new meal plan for the upcoming week. The new meal plan will reflect any food requests you may submit at check-in, and/or your updated calorie and macronutrient goals (adjustments to these may be made by your coach from time to time).

Make sure to submit your check-in before 11 am, as it closes after this time. If you do happen to miss your check-in you can submit a late check-in at any time, however, your coach won’t be able to use information from your check-in to inform your latest meal plan.

Over time you'll accumulate more and more meal plans, so will be able to mix and match when tracking meals in your food diary. You can customise the meal plans we give you - by doing a meal swap, or food substitution.

We also provide a browsable database of recipes, that you can self-track into your food diary and meet your daily targets to provide flexibility.

Using the daily targets we provide, you will be able to create your own daily meal plans for greater variety, using the one we give you each week as a template. You do this by self-tracking - planning your day and entering everything you eat into your food diary.

Developing the ability to plan and self-track is an important part of your new, healthier way of eating. It will become second nature to you in time.

You can track your nutritional intake for the day on your 'Journey' tab. You can also see your nutritional intake for the week by clicking on the arrow to the right of 'Nutrition' on the 'Journey' tab.

You can track your daily water intake from the 'Today' screen as well. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page. You can also go back days from the Today tab and track your water if you missed out for previous days.

You can start tracking what you eat on whatever day suits you best, but be sure to leave time for shopping before your planned start date. A little bit of planning goes a long way when you're changing your way of eating 🚀

Can I have an additional meal plan weekly?

We don't offer additional meal plans as we provide the weekly planner in the app. That way you can plan your week out in advance and change up each day as you please.

Can I upgrade/downgrade my subscription?

Yes, you can upgrade/downgrade to our Standard Plan or our Premium Plan (Aus only). The Standard Plan includes the self-tracking tool, weekly meal plans and the ability to submit weekly check-in results to track your progress by yourself. The Standard Plan differs from the Premium Plan (Aus only) in that you will NOT have an assigned coach to check in with you each week and answer any questions you have during the week (e.g. meal swaps, dining out, etc).

You can downgrade/upgrade yourself by:

  1. Go to the Settings section in app

  2. Select 'Manage Subscription'

  3. Select 'See more subscriptions'

  4. Log into your account on our website

  5. Click 'Profile' which will provide a drop-down box

  6. Click 'Subscriptions' and you will be able to upgrade/downgrade your subscription from there

If you are breastfeeding or have any specific medical conditions, we advise you to remain on our Premium Plan (Aus only) to maintain coach support. In these cases, you will not see an option to downgrade to the Standard Plan, so please reach out in-app if you have any questions.
